A Very Merry Unbirthday

I have so much that I want to share with you all... we recently painted my daughters bedroom (pink, of course), my husband and I made a sewing table... and I still haven't shown you all the Rakhi gifts I made....

But today, I wanted to take a break from sewing talk to share a bit of what we did this morning. My son's birthday is coming up, and my husband came up with a great idea to give him a cupcake each day of his 'birthday week'.

Amaani helped me bake a batch this morning. I really think that she was more excited to make and give the cupcakes to him, the he was to receive them. I wonder how, with only less than 3 years on this earth, she has learned the joys of giving to another. I pray that she keeps her generous spirit forever.

Of course, generosity has it's perks! mmm... cupcake batter. Maybe it's not sibling love that's behind this? :)

Whatever the reason, I treasure these moments of celebration! And I'm so glad that we still have a week of cupcakes to go. So far we've done two, and Ishaan has been super surprised each time.
