I chose to sew up a variation of look #2 for Amaani-- in a knit instead of a woven!
One of the best things in the book is that you can see *how* the designers think and made changes. I mixed my pattern up too-- I omitted the ruffles, ties, and scoop back!
I normally avoid sewing very thin knits with my sewing machine (instead I'll use my serger). But this time I had a trick up my sleeve. I interfaced the binding with the same pellon stretch interfacing that I used for the Yoga Skirt. The binding was a breeze to put in-- and it still has stretch to it!
I don't normally make tops, since they are so cheap to by in the store... but I'm beginning to change my mind. This was such a fun, quick, sew, and the knit was from the remenant bin. The whole shirt cost less than a dollar!

Have a great day everyone! I'll be back tomorrow with a simple skirt tutorial for little girls (and women too!)
