Board Meeting

I'm calling into order Make it Handmade's very first board meeting!

I loved company-wide meetings at my old job. We'd all get pizza and have a chance to catch up on what everyone was working on. It was a great way to get to know everyone.

I was thinking we could have something similar here at Make it Handmade. (minus the pizza, unfortunately). Stop by the facebook page and share what you've been working on. Anything handmade-- it doesn't have to be sewn. I'd love to see it!

Click on through for a review of what we've done this past month, and a little sneak peek as to where we are headed in the coming months.

Old Business:

Make it Handmade is exactly one month and 2 days old! In that time, we've talked about everything from sergers to hand stitching, and even toilet brushes.

I've also done a few guest post this month. Check them out at these great blogs! If you are here, chances are that you've come from one of these blogs! Thank you for sticking around!

I've also changed the sidebar to make room for the holidays! You can now find serger tutorials corralled up in the menu bar under 'Serger'.

New Business:

The holidays are coming up! It's the best time of year for crafty and diy types. All the gifts, wrapping, decorations and celebrations-- there are so many ways to 'Make it Handmade' this time of year.

Last Year's Halloween

We are a South Asian family living in Texas, so you'll see crafts and tutorials from all over the world in the next few months! We'll have Navaratri, Halloween, and Diwali tutorials coming up in October (both sewing and not!). I'll try to point out ways to adapt the tutorial for you family, no matter what holidays you celebrate.

As always, have a wonderful weekend! I'm off to check out what *you've* made on the facebook page! I hope to see you there!
